McLean - Open Space at Martha McLean Park

Ages:  At least 6 but less than 12

Do you like hiking through riparian forests, identifying wild animals and their tracks, and water play? If so, then River Camp is for you! From majestic birds of prey to microscopic aquatic insects, we will explore animals of the Santa Ana River region using scientific techniques such as dissections, microscopic observations, and more. Each day you will interact with live animals who live in this riparian ecosystem and play in the river region they call home. At the end of the week, River campers will meet animals from all over the world during a live animal show. Note: River camp is an outdoor camp. Students must bring lunch and snacks, water, and sunscreen, and must wear a swimsuit under clothing.

Note: A $40 material fee is due to Inland Empire Kids Outdoors on the first class date.

This is one of three Summer Camps run in partnership with the City of Riverside for Summer 2026. These camps are registered for through the City of Riverside Activity Guide and registration fees are paid to the City on that site.
