    River Camp!

    Our most beloved camp! This is not only the 10th anniversary but due to construction around the river, it is likely the last River Camp for the next year or two. So we are planning the best River Camp ever! We will have guest presenters, community organizations special animal presentations, and many surprises as the community helps our campers celebrate 10 years of loving our river! 

    Location: Martha McLean - Open Space at Martha McLean Park

    Fee: Registration - Youth: $185.00 

     1 Week Session

    Mon, June 10 - Thur, June 13, 2023

     Ages:  At least 6 but less than 12

    Do you like hiking through riparian forests, identifying wild animals and their tracks, and water play? If so, then River Camp is for you! From majestic birds of prey to microscopic aquatic insects, we will explore animals of the Santa Ana River region using scientific techniques such as dissections, microscopic observations, and more. Each day you will interact with live animals who live in this riparian ecosystem and play in the river region they call home. At the end of the week, River campers will meet animals from all over the world during a live animal show. Note: River camp is an outdoor camp. Students must bring lunch and snacks, water, and sunscreen, and must wear a swimsuit under clothing.

    Note: A $35 material fee is due to Inland Empire Kids Outdoors on the first class date.

     

    This is one of three Summer Camps run in partnership with the City of Riverside for Summer 2024. These camps are registered for through the City of Riverside Activity Guide and registration fees are paid to the City on that site.

    The date that public registration will be open is not yet available but is usually in late April. Until then priority spots will be awarded to returning campers from previous years and scholarship recipients through Inland Empire Kids Outdoors.     IEKO RANCH

    Jr. Zoologist Camp! Outdoor Animal Adventures!

    This is the camp for your animal-loving kiddo! Join our staff Zoologist in all things animals, from farm animal care to the skeletal system of snakes, we will look into it all. We will spend time grooming, feeding, and caring for our goats, pigs, chickens, and ducks. We will see and touch wild animal pelts, and skeletons and even learn to identify animal tracks in our area. Each student will cast an animal print to take home forever! 

    Our week hits its high point with a LIVE EXOTIC REPTILE SHOW FROM THE REPTILE HUNTER!!! 

    Age Requirement: 5-12 years 

    Camp is Mon-Thurs, June 19-22

    Hours 9 am-12 pm 

    The price is $225 with NO material fee!

    Adventure Camp at the Ranch!

    This is the BIG one! The most fun you can pack into four days!

    There will be archery, exciting games, and of course, we will launch stuff! We now have a kid-powered launcher in addition to the BIG one! This camp is big fun, big adventure, and big personal growth on a small (read safe) scale. Kiddos are nurtured, encouraged, and supported to explore the natural world and take calculated risks on an appropriate level.

    All levels of adventurers are welcome and each camper decides their level of adventure. This is the place for your daredevil AND your cautious kiddo. Both will grow and have the most fun!

    This camp is set on our 2.5-acre private ranch in the Woodcrest area of Riverside. Allowing for a beautiful experience in nature complete with daily time with our ranch animals. Our menagerie includes pot-bellied pigs, dwarf goats, ducks, chickens, mini chickens, baby ducks, and more! 

    Age 6-11

    9:00 am -12 pm Mon Tu W Th 

    Registration is $225 NO material fee!

    June 24-27 2024

    All students must wear close-toed shoes and play clothes suitable for hiking. They must bring a reusable water bottle, lunch, and wear sunscreen.

    Ameal Moore Nature Center in Riverside , CA

    STEAM Camp at the Ameal Moore Nature Center!

    Full STEAM into Nature! Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, and Math take over our nature explorations in this week of making art, dissecting owl pellets, using microscopes, and building prehistoric rock collections to take home. There will be experiments, live animals, and nature art in the great outdoors!

     

    This camp is run in partnership with the city of Riverside. You must register on the city website once registration opens. This is for your information only so that you may save the date. We will update this page with a link to registration once the city opens it.

    Ages 5-12

    Dates July 1-3, 2024

    Time 9-noon 

    Fee: $145 plus a $35 material fee on the first day
